Ben Silashi is a drummer and composer based in New York City. He co-leads KADAWA, a psychedelic jazz-rock trio with guitarist Tal Yahalom and bassist Almog Sharvit. The band has toured extensively across the U.S., Europe, and Israel, performing at top venues and leading masterclasses. Their debut album (2017) was featured in The New York Times Playlist, followed by their 2023 collaboration Downward Jewel with Grey McMurray and their 2025 release Post-Graduation Fees, which earned a four-star review in DownBeat magazine.
Beyond KADAWA, Ben is a sought-after musician in the NYC scene, performing regularly around New York with his own bands as well as with First Light (led by Fima Ephron), Ambrose Getz, Ashni Dave, Omer Leshem, and Nitsan Kolko, appearing at Joe's Pub, Public Records, Lincoln Center, Café Ornithology, the Joshua Tree Music Festival, and on a 2025 West Coast tour.
